The Library of Congress Young Readers Center will host a popular program for Japanese Culture Day. It provides an exciting opportunity for K-12 children, their families, and also teachers to learn Japanese culture through reading, writing, and craft-making with Japanese cultural and linguistic professionals.
The Japan-America Society of Washington DC will present Japan-In-A-Suitcase, a program which packs a little bit of Japan in a suitcase and introduces fascinating aspects of its culture. The National Conference of State Societies will bring some of the former cherry blossom princesses to make tiaras with visiting children.
